Through Opera Outreach, Washington National Opera is working to meet the unique needs of our diverse international audience. Designed for both longtime opera lovers and those new to the art form, these programs seek to broaden public awareness and understanding of the beauty and richness of opera.
Our Generation O program, designed for students and young professionals aged 18 to 35, enables members to attend a variety of events, lectures, and special performances-all designed to make opera a passion for a new generation.
The Out @ the Opera program feature pre- and post-opera receptions, backstage tours, and meetings with artists. This innovative program is designed to welcome the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community into the world of opera.
Opera Events and Lectures and Multimedia gives you the opportunity to explore different angles of the opera and view productions in a new light, whether it's through the eyes of an artist, director, musicologist or art and humanities specialist.
